Why Walk In Your Closet When You Can Walk Through?

It is our great intention at Beautiful Chaos®️, to create unique beauty that pairs with exceptional function. We are always dreaming up new designs that both inspire the eye and enhance lifestyle.

In our {Promised Land} project, we worked to combine our love for traditional East Coast design, a Modern Coastal aesthetic, and also hold tradition to the Midwest. Located in Independence, Minnesota—we are smitten with the geographical culmination that has translated into a beautifully unique masterpiece.

When asked about our favorite features within the 7,000 square feet of this rebuilt home, the primary closet is a top contender. Rather than hiding the master’s closet away in a separate room, we chose to showcase the closet as an art piece that is walked through en-route to the primary bathroom.

The white custom cabinetry (paint color is by Joanna Gaines) includes maple and chrome interior closet organization and soft close doors and drawers. Additionally, one of the cabinets actually leads to a secret walk-in gentlemen’s closet (we are keeping this part a secret for now). With a stackable washer & dryer, the convenience factor goes through the roof! Speaking of roof, the ceiling displays careful craftsmanship—with enameled shiplap and hand-made beams.

Looking down, white oak herringbone floors guide your path and coordinate with white oak dresser tops and doors (we used Beachouse stain). In between the floor and ceiling, acrylic  + chrome hardware dress up the custom cabinetry in a way that only acrylic and chrome can!

Tying the coastal vibe together, we selected bleached coral pendants that light up the night!

The walk through closet leads to quite the retreat—we are including just a sneak peek of the primary bath while we wait on custom mirrors and the shower door!
